The Statute of Sapienza University has been modified by Rector’s Decree N. 1549 on May 15, 2019, published on the Official Gazette on May 17, 2019.

The modifications include the transposition of current legislation, the definition of some recent points of interest and the simplification of a limited number of passages from the original text.

The principal innovations address the simplification of procedures for hiring academic staff, the election of a researchers and doctoral students to the academic senate and the unification of the two guarantee committees. Moreover, the integrations include all necessary updates required by accreditation and quality issues, as well as third mission activities.
