Statute

The Sapienza Statute is the main expression of the principle of university autonomy and the main internal regulations document.

The statute defines the mission and objectives of the university, its organisational principles, and criteria for planning and evaluation, as well as the organisation of structures, academic governance and the rights and duties for every part of the university community.

The Sapienza Statute was officially issued by Decree of the Rector no. 3689 of 29 Oct. 2012, published in the G.U. (Official Gazette) – General Series no. 261 of 8 Nov. 2012, modified by Decree of the Rector no. 2892 of 18 Sept. 2015, published on the G.U. (Official Gazette) – General Series no. 230, 3/10/2015) which introduced Article 14bis concerning the Aerospace Engineering School. Then modified again by Decree of the Rector no. 1549 of 15 May 2019, published on the G.U. (Official Gazette) -  General Series no. 122 of 27 May 2019.
