Today Sapienza University takes part in the national day "DanteDì", which every year celebrate the renowned Italian poet Dante Alighieri, with a performance by the Italian actress Monica Guerritore dedicated to the main female figures in the Divine Comedy. With this video, our University contributes to the many events organised across the country for this special edition of DanteDì on the 700th anniversary of the death of the greatest Italian poet.

The performance entitled "Beatrice e Francesca: le immagini del femminile nella Commedia" is an excerpt from the show "Dall'Inferno all'Infinito" (From Hell to Infinity) by and with the Italian actress Monica Guerritore, and was recorded during the event "Donne ch'avete intelletto d'amore: female figures in Dante Alighieri" promoted in the Aula magna on March 8, 2021 by Rectress Antonella Polimeni.

Today, Sapienza will also take part in "Dantedì. Cantieri delle Università", a marathon promoted by Adi-Associazione degli italianisti. At 4.20 pm, Sonia Gentili, lecturer at the Department of Literature and Modern Cultures, will speak.
