Sapienza Library System doesn't stop: 250.000 digital textbooks now available

The Sapienza Library System has obtained the digital versions of the textbooks adopted in all our university Programmes to help the students currently unable to borrow the learning material

The Sapienza Library System has obtained the digital versions of the textbooks adopted in all our university Programmes to help the students currently unable to borrow the learning material. To find as many books as possible the job has been carried out together with Education Affairs Offices, lecturers and librarians. In just a few days the number of digital books available to our community has grown in number: from 35.000 to over 250.000.

The most important international publishers, given the global closure of libraries, are offering part of their digital collections, free of charge, for a limited time only. With the other publishers, our Library System has signed contracts to give access to their collections, from home, through our Discovery Sapienza platform.

Despite the difficulty and the limitations of the editorial market, especially the Italian one, that make many ebooks unavailable to libraries, our Library System won't stop and will continue to increase its material for education and research.
