A beautiful river of peace has flowed through Umbria in recent days, culminating in the great Perugiassisi March, which for over sixty years has brought together people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds around the universal values of peace and brotherhood.

Our university also participated wholeheartedly, with two buses carrying students, lecturers and staff, united by the desire to show our community's commitment to a future based on dialogue, cooperation and mutual respect.
In Perugia, a group of students from the PhD programme in Peace Studies, which is of national interest, took part, together with Alessandro Saggioro, coordinator of the PhD programme, in the General Assembly of PhD Students and PhD Programmes, as part of the UN Assembly of Peoples - 𝙄𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙞 𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚: a valuable opportunity for discussion and reflection on the role of knowledge and research as instruments of peace.

An intense weekend, confirming how Universities are, first and foremost, communities that build bridges, capable of bringing people and ideas together to give voice, collectively, to a fairer world.
