Sapienza at Romics: Innovation is Creativity
On Thursday, October 3, the “Romics Innovation Lab for Creativity” will be launched at the International Festival of Comics, Animation, Cinema and Games. The event, which has the patronage of Sapienza University, is an evolution of Romics_Camp, the call promoted in 2019 with Sapienza University and Saperi&Co. to select and promote innovative projects in the new media and entertainment sector.
The Romics Innovation Lab for Creativity is dedicated to the research, promotion, development and support of projects and innovators in the field of creativity aiming to develop products that address social issues or educate people through custom-tailored entertainment. Creativity, imagination and innovation for social objectives will be at the centre of an event full or ideas and new opportunities for the sector.
The kick-off event for the project will feature the participation of key actors in the innovation sector, including Luca Tesauro (CEO and Cofounder of the Giffoni Innovation Hub), Lara Oliveti (CEO of Melazeta Digital Agency) and Matteo Moretti (designer and professor at the Libera Università di Bolzano). Sapienza University will be represented by Andrea Riccio (Strategic Research and Evaulation Projects, Research and Technology Transfer Area), Sabrina Lucibello, (Director of the SAPeri&Co Research and Services Centre) and Luca Di Donna (President of the Spin-off and Start-up Commission).
The 26th edition of Romics will be held at the Rome Fair from Thursday, October 3 to Sunday, October 6. On October 3-4, Sapienza students can take advantage of a 50% discount on the entrance ticket.
