Enzo Marinari of the Department of Physics of Sapienza University and Enrico Bucci of the Temple University of Philadelphia, in partnership with Giorgio Parisi, former Professor of Physics at Sapienza University and current President of the “Accademia dei Lincei”, are currently monitoring and analysing the spread and development of COVID-19 in Italy.

The analysis of the pandemic, constantly updated starting from official data issued on a daily basis, provides precious information about the epidemiological curve.

Knowing how the situation is likely to evolve may, in fact, be a precious instrument for reflecting on the containment strategies that have been implemented so far and for guiding the future health policies.

A Facebook page about COVID-19 related data and its national and international spreading has been created by this team of Italian physicists and managed by a group of science communicators. The page, called “Coronavirus - Dati e Analisi Scientifiche", presents the analyses outcomes in a simple and understandable way.
