Ten students from the fifth and sixth year of the Medicine and Surgery Faculty Course, coordinated by Stefania Mardente of the Department of Experimental Medicine and Alfredo Antonaci of the Department of Surgical Sciences, participated in the School of Medical Communication of the Sechenov University of Moscow.

Thanks to the bilateral agreement between Sapienza and Sechenov University in Moscow, for a week the students worked and studied in an intercontinental class together with Russian colleagues and a large group of Chinese students from Hairbin Medical School. The main topic of the lessons was the relationship between linguistic and humanistic skills and medicine. The teaching consisted of a technical part on the writing of a scientific article in English, with particular attention to its presentation, and a part more focused on the deontology of the doctor-patient relationship and the role that Humanitas, considered as the set of moral and individual values of the individual, has in clinical practice.

The future Italian doctors have actively participated in the numerous discussions, making an important contribution in terms of quality and quantity at all levels. With curiosity and enthusiasm they relate to colleagues in other countries, understanding and appreciating both things in common and differences, in teaching as in clinical practice and in everyday life. The relationship of friendship born with the students of Sechenov University represented an added value to the formative experience, which could be an inspiration for the future of this project.
