installazione di luce

Trame di luce at the Botanical Garden of Rome

The fascinating light show is back at Sapienza's Botanical Garden: a magical journey through art installations and light artworks by national and international artists immersed in nature, open until January 6

The light art exhibition organised in the heart of Rome's historic Trastevere district is back: Trame di luce, an evocative journey through installations and light artworks, created by national and international artists, opened last November 30 at Sapienza's Botanical Garden.

Each year, the exhibition is inspired by a different theme that blends in harmony with the nature of the winter garden. This year's theme, Christmas has a new light, has inspired renowned artists from all over the world and involved groups of students and lecturers from various Italian universities and training schools (including the Advanced Professional Course in Light Design of our Faculty of Architecture).

The sensorial light show comprises 20 unique art installations that make up the itinerary ideally divided into 5 areas, thus offering an immersive experience of art, nature, culture and performance.

Trame di luce can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, from 6 pm to 11 pm until January 6, 2025 (except on December 24, 25 and 31).

An exclusive discount of 15% is reserved for the Sapienza Community: to get it when purchasing tickets online, please enter the code PARTNERXTDL in the space provided; for the discount directly at the box office, all you need to do is to present your Sapienza badge or a document proving that you are a member of our University.

For further information, please read the event's official website.

The Trame di luce exhibition was covered by TV channel RaiNews in the episode of Sapori e colori aired on December 12.
