Winter School on Cultural Heritage in the Near and Middle East
The Winter School dedicated to cultural heritage in the Near and Middle East is now accepting applications. The course will be held on January 29 to February 9, 2019.
The Winter School in “Cultural Heritage of the Near and Middle East: Challenges and Hopes” will provide participants with the tools necessary to understand how to work on cultural heritage in countries in the Mediterranean and Near and Middle East with a particular focus on crisis areas. Lessons will be held in English with a practical approach, presenting problems related to daily work, scientific methodologies and ethical issues through specific case studies.
The Winter School is a joint project by Sapienza Archaeology, History and Philology Professors working in countries in the Mediterranean and Near and Middle East. The objective is not that of a classic university course, but rather to present the work of academics from a completely different point of view. The course will be held annually to establish Sapienza University as a reference point for this type of studies.
The deadline of the call (for graduates) is January 15, 2019.
