AUTOMATIC CONTROL, BIOENGINEERING AND OPERATIONS RESEARCH
The educational objective of the PhD program in Automatic Control, Bioengineering and Operational Research (ABRO) is to prepare young scholars who can manage complex realities through the use of modeling tools, the adoption of analytical methods for models and processes, as well as the development of design and implementation techniques for systems arising in various application fields. These scholars will find employment in the academic field, in research institutions, in the economic and industrial sector, both public and private. With regard to the latter, the analytical and modeling approach of the management and decision process and the skills acquired contribute to defining innovative professional figures which will be able to play a strategic role in companies and institutions operating on a national and multinational scale in different sectors of the production of goods and services, such as: mechanics, information technology, robotics, telecommunications, energy, transport, healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, environment, commercial distribution, financial consulting firms, design companies. The ABRO PhD program offers three separate curricula, each in a different scientific sector according to the italian classification: - Automatic Control (ING-INF/04) - Bioengineering (ING-INF/06) - Operations Research (MAT/09).
