Academic Calendar
The academic calendar, which is annually approved by the Academic Senate, specifies the suspension of teaching activities for the Christmas and Easter periods and the Carnival Week. On the latter point, Faculties may decide otherwise in the exercise of their teaching autonomy.
Holiday breaks 2025-2026
For the academic year 2025-2026, the following interruptions of teaching activities are planned:
- Christmas from Tuesday, December 23, 2025, to Monday, January 5, 2026;
- Easter from Thursday, April 2, 2026, to Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Carnival Week is not considered an academic holiday unless otherwise communicated by individual Faculties.
During holiday breaks, additional exam dates may be scheduled, in which all students may participate.
The calendar was approved by the University Didactic Committee on Friday, October 17, 2025.
