Area for Educational services and support for access to Education

The Area manages activities related to:

  • Management of post-graduate courses (establishment and accreditation of PhD courses, Advanced Professional Courses, Training courses, Higher education and Non-formal training courses);
  • Management of administrative services for students on PhD courses, Advanced Professional Courses and specialisation courses and for candidates for State exams;
  • Agreements with National Health Service organisations and accredited private organisations to expand specialisation schools' training network in the Health area with access reserved for medical doctors and stipulation of specialist training contracts;
  • Coordination and administrative support for Sapienza's incoming orientation initiatives in cooperation with Departments, Faculties, secondary schools and/or partner organisations;
  • Coordination of the organisation and management of Percorsi per le competenze trasversali e l'orientamento - PCTO (pathways for transversal skills and orientation) and conclusion of relevant agreements with secondary schools; 
  • Management of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) active orientation school-university project - Sapienza NextGeneration;
  • Management of Sapienza's services aimed at supporting students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties;
  • Management of Sapienza Career Service and job orientation and placement initiatives, including the stipulation of agreements with companies and organisations for curricular and extra-curricular internship and placement activities;
  • Management of EU and non-EU Erasmus student mobility; 
  • Support activities for Sapienza's participation in ‘CIVIS’ - European University Alliance;
  • International Credit Mobility management activities and related outgoing and incoming mobility;
  • Management of all Sapienza's initiatives to promote the right to study through scholarships (for deserving students, for graduates from other universities or abroad, for enrolment in specific degree programmes, for thesis abroad or further education activities abroad); 
  • Provision of part-time collaboration grants, accommodation grants, humanitarian scholarships; scholarships for non-medical residents; 
  • Management of regional, national and ESF projects within the area of competence with particular reference to psychological counselling services;
  • Student Affairs Office and administrative support of Sapienza University's Prison Campus;
  • Supporting initiatives for refugee or students with international protection;
  • Management of affiliations and non-formal training activities with a focus on transversal skills including the provision of Open Badges for skills certification;
  • Management of the Italian Erasmus Programme;
  • Support to the Teaching and Learning Centre for the management of initial teacher training courses and in-service training;
  • Supporting CME (Continuing Medical Education) Commission and supporting the accreditation of Sapienza as a CME provider;
  • Management of the supply chain with Istituti Tecnologici Superiori (ITS Academy) and Istruzione e formazione tecnica superiore (IFTS) pathways;
