MAECI-MUR calls and European and cooperation calls
The Ministry of University and Research (MUR), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) periodically promotes calls for joint R&I actions involving the Italian research system and that of various countries, each time involved.
These initiatives fall under the framework of bilateral cooperation in higher education, research, and innovation through joint actions aimed at supporting research projects, mobility, and training of scholars and researchers, access to infrastructures, and strengthening innovation ecosystems.
Similarly, at the European level, calls are periodically promoted under Interreg Euro-Med, Interreg Next Med, European Territorial Cooperation programs that support public administrations, universities, and private entities in improving the formulation and execution of regional, local, and territorial development policies.
Another call is the one published by the European Commission's Research Executive Agency, SAFE – Supporting At-risk Researchers with Fellowships in Europe, which aims to develop a funding scheme for the selection and funding of researchers (PhD students and post-docs) in situations of risk at EU higher education and research institutions.
On the relevant pages, interested parties can find information about national and European calls in the field of scientific cooperation with international institutions, entities, and NGOs (MAECI, MUR, Interreg, SAFE) in order to offer support to professors and researchers interested in participating in the calls (internal administrative procedures at Sapienza, potential internal selection procedures, obtaining the signature of the Legal Representative, etc.).
