European Programme Interreg NEXT MED 2021-2027 – Application Submission 2026
The Managing Authority of the NEXT MED 2021-2027 Programme has published, on the programme's website, the call for project proposals on the green transition – deadline: October 29, 2026.
The aim of the call is to promote the dissemination, transfer and adoption of solutions that have already been tested, enhancing their impact through new transnational collaborations. Funded initiatives will be expected to build on the knowledge, tools, methodologies and results generated by previous projects under one of the 10 Interreg programmes, contributing to the development of policies, practices and replicable models across the programme territories.
Projects must address one of the following thematic areas:
- Innovative and smart tourism products
- Tourism and the green transition
- The social dimension of tourism (employment and skills development), and inclusive and accessible tourism
- Shared and strategic governance of the tourism offer.
The call stipulates that each organisation (including Sapienza) may submit only one project as an “Applicant”, while there will be no limit on applications submitted in the capacity of a “Partner”.
It is recommended that applicants consult the Sapienza Dual-Use Research Guidelines.
In order to coordinate Sapienza’s proposals, academic staff interested in participating must complete the Google form by September 28, 2026, whether they intend to submit a project as an “Applicant” or participate as a “Partner”.
Please note that the documentation required to participate in the call must be signed by the Rector through the Research Services Area.
The call and the application documentation are available on the following page: third call for proposals
