Call for Conferences, Seminars and Workshops

Sapienza publishes the Call for Conferences, Seminars and Workshops every year to open new possibilities for our academic staff to meet and exchange knowledge on a national and international level.

Projects of national and/or international relevance, high quality of the programme and speakers’ scientific and cultural profile as well as the impact on the territory in terms of both dissemination of scientific culture and transfer of knowledge are eligible for funding.

Projects that also foster society’s cultural growth, as provided for in Sapienza’s public engagement and third mission activities, will be taken into great account.

Two lines of funding are envisaged:

a. € 190,000.00 for projects from € 1,600.00 to € 5,000.00;

b. € 30,000.00 for projects up to € 6,000.00 each specifically dedicated to enhancing Sapienza identity such as those proposing conferences aimed at celebrating or commemorating particular events or relating to personalities or institutions of importance in the scientific and educational history of our University.

With resolution no. 71 of March 3, 2020, the Academic Senate approved the Call for Proposals for 2020 and resolution no. 187 of September 15, 2020, it approved the funding of

83 projects for a total amount of € 220,000.00
