Clinical services

Sapienza takes care of your well-being and health with free services and highly qualified medical and specialist staff. To this end, our University's Medical Area Departments have set up centres of excellence, services and clinical trials to assist frail patients or those with special needs

Centres of excellence supporting frail patients

Sapienza works to create and enhance quality services in support of citizenship, inclusion and support for patients with frailty within the two largest university hospitals on the Roman territory, competitive at the national level and highly specialised: the Policlinico Umberto I General Hospital and the Sant'Andrea University hospital. Services for people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder

Sapienza has committed to autism issues thanks to the efforts carried out in this context by its Medical Departments.

An early diagnosis and timely, targeted and intensive therapeutic interventions can significantly improve the evolution and prognosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders. Click on the Italian version of this page for more information and details.

Sapienza's commitment to rare diseases

The care and management of these patients is a challenge for doctors, carers, and society. The introduction of new treatments and their easier availability make it possible to expand treatment options and increase life expectancy and improve quality of life, social functioning, and healthcare expenditure. Click on the Italian version of this page for more information and details.
