Sapienza supports projects that promote knowledge for the benefit of society, with a particular focus on public engagement activities, the production of social and educational public goods, inclusion policies, cultural heritage promotion, public health protection, open science and citizen science. 

Sapienza has allocated a total budget of 570.000,00 euros to the 2025 Outreach - Terza Missione Call for Proposals.

Two funding lines have been identified:

• Outreach (Terza Missione) from 12, 18 to 24 months, addressed to Sapienza structures (i.e. Departments, Faculties, Research Centres, Research and Service Centres, Service Centres, Sapienza Museums, School for Advanced Studies and Sapienza Libraries), also in collaboration with each other, with a maximum grant per project of 30,000 euros and total availability of 450,000 euros.
• Outreach launch (Avvio alla Terza Missione), lasting 12 months, for projects presented by PhD students, research fellows, and residents, also in collaboration with each other, with a maximum grant per project of 15,000 euros and total availability of 120.000,00 euros.

Applications may be submitted from September 15, 2025 (10 am), until October 31, 2025 (2:00 pm) at SiGeBa
