Psychological counselling for students
At the Psychological Counselling Centre you can meet trained, competent people to talk about the difficulties you are experiencing.
Through the offer of 4 free counselling sessions plus a follow-up meeting three months later, you can have access to a safe space designed to listen and reflect on your and other people's mental and emotional health to rediscover your own resources in the course of study and personal growth.
For many students, university represents a new world full of potential, experiences and challenges. The journey to university is more than just a process of acquiring technical knowledge: it is also a time in life when we build and consolidate our adult identity.
Sometimes, however, not everything goes according to our expectations: you may miss your family, some exams become insuperable obstacles, concentration falters, or we are no longer sure whether we should choose a particular degree programme. Occasionaly the very idea of taking exams or preparing our dissertation may become a source of anxiety, discouragement, fear.
At other times, relationships with others makes us insecure: emotional relationships are charged with difficulty, making us feel misunderstood, isolated, lost, confused and with little motivation to seek the presence of others.
