Sapienza's public engagement cultural events
As part of its public engagement policies, Sapienza University of Rome supports a number of significant cultural events each year, with the aim of engaging a broad and diverse external audience.
Martin Luther King Exhibition
From October 28, 2025 to January 15, 2026, Sapienza University of Rome hosted an exhibition on Martin Luther King and the value of his struggle for civil rights. The initiative wa part of a cultural programme commissioned by Rector Polimeni and promoted by Sapienza on the theme of social justice, civic engagement and human dignity.
Sapienza Festival
"Festival della Sapienza" stems from Sapienza's desire to examine the present through its wounds, creating spaces for reflection and sharing through a wide range of artistic and performative forms.

Over the course of its three editions from 2022 to 2024, the ‘Teatro delle Migrazioni’ Festival has successfully brought the highly topical issue of migration to the attention of a wide audience, involving numerous theatre companies and social promotion associations from across Italy
