Service for students with other special educational needs
If you have a disability or a specific learning difficulty, you can use the mediation service to make sure that your exams and tests are done in a flexible way. Sapienza does not have to pay extra money for these changes. You can ask for this service if:
- you have a neurodevelopmental disorder (such as Borderline Intellectual Functioning, Communication Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Movement Disorders, etc.). These conditions must be documented by a medical diagnosis. The diagnosis must be written according to national and regional laws and in line with up-to-date, accredited guidelines.
- you have a diagnosed psychiatric disorder (such as Anxiety and Mood Disorders, Psychotic and Dissociative Disorders, Eating Disorders, other disorders of psychiatric significance). The diagnosis must be written according to national and regional laws and in line with up-to-date, accredited guidelines. It must also explain how the disorder affects learning and/or social participation.
- you have any medical conditions that stop you from learning or taking part in social activities, you must have the right documents to prove this. These documents must clearly say what the problems are and what effect they have, whether this is temporary or long-term.
