Service for students with other special educational needs

Pursuant to Article 6 of the Regulations for Students with Disabilities and Specific Learning Difficulties, students may only use the mediation service with lecturers, faculties and departments to arrange flexible tests/exams (methodological, instrumental and organisational specific arrangments) at no cost to the university, if they:

  • have neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. Borderline Intellectual Functioning, Communication Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Movement Disorders, etc.) documented by a medical diagnosis drawn up in accordance with relevant national and regional legislation and in line with up-to-date, accredited guidelines;
  • have diagnosed psychiatric disorders (e.g. Anxiety and Mood Disorders, Psychotic and Dissociative Disorders, Eating Disorders, other disorders of psychiatric significance) documented by a diagnosis drawn up in accordance with relevant national and regional legislation and in line with up-to-date and accredited guidelines, highlighting the negative impact of the disorder on learning and/or social participation;
  • have disabling medical conditions, adequately supported by medical documentation that explicitly states the persistent impediments and/or the negative impact, whether temporary or long-term, on learning and/or social participation.
