Art. 33 - ENROLMENT BEYOND THE ALLOTTED TIME FOR THE PROGRAMME: DEFINITION, RULES AND VARIATION OF COSTS

1. Requirements and terms

The condition of ‘fuori corso’ (behind schedule) applies when you do not complete your degree programme within the normal duration of your programme.

If you are enrolled behind schedule, you can take advantage of special exam sessions, if provided for by your Faculty (see Art. 21, point 7).

2. Benefits relating to the year of first enrolment

For the allocation of certain benefits (e.g. regional scholarships), the years of enrolment are counted from the first year of enrolment, so if you have made changes, transfers, programme abbreviations or other career changes during your academic career, you may lose the benefit if the duration of the benefit refers to the year of first enrolment.

3.  Costs for enrolment behind schedule

A. If you enrol in the first year behind schedule, you will not be subject to any increase in enrolment fees.

B. Starting from the second year behind schedule, the increases specified in Article 68 will apply.

C. To avoid incurring the increase, you can switch to part-time study (see Article 30).

D. If you are enrolled in a programme under university system D.M. 509/99, you can also request a change of system (see Article 31) (resolution of the Board of Directors of 19 April 2011) to avoid the higher fees.
