1. Benefits and conditions
This benefit provides, subject to the requirements specified below, a refund of university fees of a variable amount, established annually on the basis of ministerial funding granted to the University (Ministerial Decree 773 of 10 June 2024) and intended for those who enrol in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) degree programmes, which are considered to be of community interest.
For the academic year 2025-2026, the requirements for qualifying for the benefit are as follows:
- you must be enrolled in the first, second or third year of bachelor's degree programmes that do not require scheduled admission or in the first or second year of second level degree programmes that do not require scheduled admission under the Ministerial Decree 270/04 university system in the STEM classes specified in paragraph 3 of this article;
- Your ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) valid for the right to university education must be less than or equal to €40,000;
- If you enrol in the first year of a three-year degree programme, you must have been awarded a high-school diploma with a grade of 85/100 or higher;
- If you are enrolled in the second or third year of a three-year degree programme or in the second year of a master's degree course, you must have been awarded at least 30 CFUs (university credits) in the 2024-2025 academic year by 31 January 2026.
- You must not be enrolled on a part-time basis.
- You must meet all deadlines for payment of enrolment fees.
In the event of a transfer from another programme that does not offer this benefit, the reduction will start from the year of the programme you enrol in (if different from the first year), without prejudice to the obligation to meet the merit and financial requirements specified above.
2. Procedure
To enrol or register for programmes that offer the “Courses of Community Interest” benefit, you must pay the fees based on your ISEE value valid for the right to university education and you will then receive a partial or total refund automatically.
In this regard, we invite you to enter your IBAN on Infostud (in the Profile section) so that the refund can be made entirely electronically. Please note that the account must be in your name or jointly in your name.
The regional tax (€140) + stamp duty (€16) must be added to the enrolment fees.
