1. Benefits and conditions
This concession provides for an enrolment fee in the programmes of €30, limited to the current year, plus the regional tax (€140) and stamp duty (€16), and is granted if you do not qualify for more favourable reductions (Articles 44, 56, 57).
The Rector may decide to authorise even a partial exemption from the fee due.
This benefit can only be granted by the Rector, on an entirely exceptional basis, if you meet the following requirements:
- you are currently enrolled in a programme for the 2025-2026 academic year in years subsequent to the first;
- you have taken at least one exam in the academic year 2024-2025;
- you are in a specific and proven situation of financial hardship, as evidenced by an ISEE value for the right to university education not exceeding €13,000.
The rector's exemption can only be granted once during your academic career.
You cannot benefit from the rector's exemption if you earn income in foreign countries because, without submitting an ISEE declaration for the right to education, it is not possible to perform the assessment of the requirement for financial hardship.
2. Procedures
To apply for the exceptional granting of the rector's exemption, follow the procedure described on the page https://www.uniroma1.it/it/node/28758 , attaching the documentation certifying your financial hardship.
3. Deadlines
Applications must be submitted by 6 November 2025.
