Art. 57 - SPECIFIC LEARNING DISORDERS - SLD

 

1.      Benefits and conditions

The requirements and terms for the allocation of benefits and services for students with specific learning disabilities (SLD) are set out in the Regulations issued by Rector's Decree No. 1644 of 4 June 2025. Go to page

A. If you meet the requirements for students with specific learning disabilities (SLD), you are fully exempt from enrolment fees and can take advantage of specific teaching support and services. In detail:

- each year, you will only have to pay the regional tax of €140 and the stamp duty of £16 to enrol in the degree programme (resolution of the Board of Directors of 22 July 2021);

- you do not necessarily have to obtain your ISEE value for the right to university education on Infostud;

- you will have to pay any fines at the standard rate in the case of late payments;

- Even if you enrol for individual exams, you will not have to pay any fees (Board of Directors' resolution of 28 October 2021).

B. To obtain the financial benefits and support provided for students with specific learning disabilities (SLD), you must have a certificate of diagnosis of SLD in accordance with the criteria of the Consensus Conference (2011).

The certificate must:

- include the nosographic codes and explicit wording of the SLD;

- contain the information necessary to understand the individual characteristics of each person, indicating their respective areas of strength and weakness;

- be issued by the National Health Service or by bodies or professionals accredited by the Regions;

- be updated after 3 years if the certificate was issued when you were a minor; if, on the other hand, you were issued with it when you turned 18, updating is not mandatory, in accordance with Law No. 170 of 2010 and the subsequent State-Regions Agreement of 24/07/2012.

2.      Procedures and contacts

To qualify for the benefits provided for participation in entry tests (selective or non-selective) and to pay the reduced fees, you must follow the instructions contained in the call for applications regulating access to degree programmes, available in the degree programme catalogue, in the Enrolment (Iscriversi) section of each programme.
