Orientation for Students with Disabilities and Specific Learning Difficulties

Orientation and welcome

Sapienza's Unit for Students with Disabilities and Specific Learning Difficulties helps prospective Sapienza students to make informed choices about their chosen course. In collaboration with other Sapienza's facilities, the unit organises and manages initiatives to showcase the available services and facilitate entry into university life.

Career Service

Sapienza's Career Service provides specialised career guidance, tools and practical workshops to help students and graduates confidently and successfully transition from university to the professional world.
The service is particularly committed to raising awareness of, and equipping individuals with the ability to seek, effective job opportunities, and to identifying and enhancing personal resources in line with educational backgrounds and professional aspirations.

You can access one-to-one advice on updating your CV, evaluating your skills and discussing your career goals. Thematic webinars and workshops are also organised to help you discover job-hunting tools and develop soft skills.

Inclusion and specialist support

The Unit for Students with Disabilities and Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD) collaborates with Sapienza's Career Service to ensure fair and tailored entry into the world of work.

This collaboration focuses on two main areas:

  • working with the Career Service and Internships Unit to provide career guidance to students and graduates with disabilities;
  • working with the Job Placement Unit for activities related to targeted job placement (Law 68/99).

SLD Career Service

The SLD Career Service is Sapienza's service designed to support students with SLD in their transition from university to the professional world.

Objectives and activities
The service provides strategic support to help individuals develop their talents and manage their career paths effectively through individual consultations and group training activities. During one-to-one meetings (in person or on the JobTeaser platform), you can work on technical CV and cover letter revisions, including English versions, carry out skills assessments, and define targeted action plans for active job searching.
The service also organises webinars and practical workshops focused on developing soft skills, conducting interview simulations, and covering specific topics such as strategies for communicating your certification effectively in the workplace.

How to participate
The events and workshops can be found in the List of cross-cutting, work orientation and entrepreneurial skills by selecting the events marked with the label "Sapienza per l'inclusione"
