The State Exams* Unit is specifically responsible for the following activities: 

• managing the admission procedures for state exams;
• appointing assessment boards;
• providing organisational support for the administration of state exams;
• paying of fees to state exam examiners across all professions;
• issuing diplomas and certificates.

*In order to practise certain professions corresponding to one’s university degree, current legislation requires candidates to pass a postgraduate state exam in order to obtain the necessary qualification to practise those professions.
