1. Requirements and terms
A. You may request a change of university system exclusively to programmes classified under Ministerial Decree 270/04. The possibility of changing university system depends on:
- the university system of the programme of origin;
- the admission requirements and procedures for the destination programme.
B. Credits are recognised on the basis of specific conversion tables drawn up by the Faculties. The degree programme Councils examine individual cases and prepare the validation document.
Once the Faculty's decisions have been obtained, the Administrative Office will change the university system following the validation document.
C. For courses with scheduled admission, the change of university system is only permitted if you have:
- at least 40 CFUs for admission to the second year of a three-year degree programme;
- at least 200 CFUs (180 + 20) for admission to the second year of a second level two-year degree programme, provided that you have been awarded a three-year bachelor's degree.
Exceptions may be made by the teaching departments.
D. For second level two-year degree programmes that do not have scheduled admission, a change of university system is permitted in accordance with the provisions of Article 3.
E. You cannot apply for both a change of university system and part-time enrolment in the same academic year (Article 30).
2. Procedures
To request a change of university system, you must:
- enrol in the 2025-2026 academic year in your old programme;
- submit your application, with stamp duty, after paying the first instalment of your enrolment fees.
To submit your application, follow the procedures specified on the page https://www.uniroma1.it/it/node/28758
3. Deadlines
The deadline for submitting applications is 6 November 2025. At the discretion of the administrative office, applications may be accepted after this deadline.
4. Costs
The change of university system for a degree programme that is a direct transformation of your original programme is free of charge. In all other cases, it is considered a change of course, therefore you will have to pay €65 for the transfer fees. The payment slip will be generated by the administrative office after the application has been submitted.
Please note: following the assessment of your academic career and the decision taken by the teaching departments, regardless of the number of credits validated, in the event of a change in the year of the programme and the contribution bracket to which the new programme belongs, the system may produce an adjustment to the amount of the enrolment fees, which will be applied to subsequent instalments.
Any adjustment will be visible on Infostud. No further notification will be provided in this regard.
