Art. 8 - ENROLMENT IN TWO-YEAR MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMMES WITH ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT

 

 

1.    Entry requirements and academic knowledge. Enrolment in two-year Master's degree programmes that do not provide for restricted access is subject to the meeting of the entry requirements set out in each Programme's Regulations and to an academic knowledge assessment.

The curricular requirements, which must necessarily be met before enrolment, and the methods for assessing academic knowledge established by each Faculty are published on the web page of each degree programme in the course catalogue on the corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/en site.

Those who have already graduated but do not hold the necessary credits to satisfy the admission requirements may enrol in single courses in compliance with the procedures described in art. 41 of these Regulations, while those who are still enrolled in a degree programme may take exams pursuant to Art. 6 of Royal Decree no. 1269/38 in compliance with the procedures described in Art. 42 of these Regulations.

2.    Deadlines for the entry requirements assessment. Those who intend to enrol in Master's degree programmes that provide for verification of requirements (whether they graduated from Sapienza University of Rome or other universities), must access the corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/en site and follow the procedures to print out the Application for requirements and personal knowledge assessment (“Domanda di verifica dei requisiti”) relating to the degree programme of interest.

The system will produce an amount due of €10, which must be paid by one of the following dates, of their choice:

  • September 16, 2024 (only date available for non-EU students living abroad applying for study visas);
  • October 16, 2024;
  • November 18, 2024;
  • December 16, 2024;
  • January 16, 2025 (date only available to Sapienza University graduating students and Sapienza graduates).

3.     Candidates from other Italian universities. Those coming from other Italian universities must:

  • Register on Infostud, also uploading their identity document in the section “Profile>Personal Documents”;
  • Check that the educational qualification has been properly uploaded in the section “Profile>University Degrees”;
  • check that the graduating/graduate status has been properly updated;
  • Pay €10;
  • submit a self-certification indicating the exams taken, the scientific disciplines corresponding to the subjects, and relating syllabuses using the form “Dichiarazione laurea ed esami” available on the University Website at the student forms page  https://www.uniroma1.it/en/pagina/student-forms

Submissions must be made in one of the following ways:

  • From the email address indicated on Infostud at the time of registration to the email address of your Student Affairs Office or the address indicated in the curricular requirements, available in the Course Catalogue, on the page of each degree programme, in the Enrolment section. Before submitting your application, you must check that you have uploaded your identification document on Infostud, under the section "Profile>Personal documents”;

The Student Affairs Office will request confirmation of the declared data from the University of origin.

Submission methods may vary according to the Faculty of origin and are indicated on the university website www.uniroma1.it/en in the degree programmes pages. Failure to send the declaration of the previous educational career or the negative result of the entry requirements assessment will result in the impossibility of enrolling in that specific degree programme.

4.    Candidates with an international qualification. Candidates with international qualifications must follow the instructions published on the University website, on the Office for Students with International Qualifications page.

5.    Graduating students. If the programme regulations provide for it, those who have not yet graduated from Sapienza University of Rome or other Italian or international universities may also apply for verification of the requirements, without prejudice to the obligation to graduate by January 25, 2025 (for those graduating from Sapienza University of Rome) and by December 21, 2024 (for those graduating from other Italian or international universities).

6.    Outcome of the assessments. The outcome of the assessments will be communicated in the e-mail box provided on Infostud (or on the Sapienza institutional mailbox, if active).

7.    Enrolment procedures and deadlines. Enrolment deadlines vary according to the date of graduation and the date of communication of the successful outcome of the entry requirements assessment. The deadlines below must be respected even if the payment deadline is January 31, 2025.

a)    Students who graduate by October 31, 2024, must enrol by paying the first instalment (or all three instalments), the regional tax and stamp duty by November 5, 2024, if they have been notified of the positive outcome of the assessment of requirements. If paying split instalments, the second instalment must be paid by December 19, 2024, and the third instalment by March 27, 2025.

b)    Students who graduate between November 1, 2024, and January 13, 2025, must enrol by paying the first instalment (or all three instalments), regional tax and stamp duty by January 30, 2025, the second instalment by February 4, 2025, and the third instalment by March 27, 2025. It should be noted that if you are paying in split instalments in several, the second instalment must be paid after at least 24 hours have elapsed since the previous payment and within the specified deadlines, in order not to be subject to a fine.

8.    Isee declaration 2024. The Isee (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) valid for obtaining the reduction in tuition fees is the Isee 2024 for the right to academic education or - if available - the current Isee. The Isee must be calculated at a Tax Assistance Centre (Caf) or on the Inps website and is acquired by Sapienza University of Rome through the Infostud system, subject to a declaration of consent. For further information on Isee, please consult Article 19 of these Regulations. For those who come from foreign countries and do not have the Isee value, the fixed amounts indicated in art. 16 apply.

9.    Programme shortening and part-time learning. With regard to requests for degree programme shortening and part-time learning, please refer to Articles 49 and 50 of these Regulations.
