Regulation for the acquisition of advertising space

The advertising activities of public administrations, and therefore also of universities, are regulated by several laws that oblige them to spread their advertising investments over different media categories. 

Cost distribution

The breakdown is as follows:

  • at least 50% in favour of daily newspapers and periodicals, in favour of national radio stations or those equivalent to the press (under Article 10, paragraph 1 of Law No. 250 of 7 August 1990), which broadcast news programmes daily for at least 25% of the broadcasting hours, in favour of Internet sites entered in the Register of Communication Operators (ROC)
  • at least 15% in favour of local private television and radio broadcasters operating in the territories of the Member States of the European Union.
