It manages in particular activities relating to:  

• scouting, analysis of calls for proposals, dissemination and support for the submission of projects funded by ministries and other public and private bodies, foundations with scientific research objectives, as well as regional, municipal and local authorities;
• support for related reporting in conjunction with departmental structures and the auditing office;
• mapping of Sapienza's expertise and scouting for Units and project ideas, as well as identification and matchmaking with calls of strategic interest to Sapienza;
• support for the preparation and management of project proposals at regional and national level, promoted and/or coordinated centrally by Sapienza;
• management of relations with project partners and organisation of periodic meetings;
• support for the Commissione Permanente set up to evaluate project proposals in the case of research calls for proposals with a limited number of applications and for Sapienza's Technical and Scientific Committee (CTS);
• dissemination of information and promotion of training and information events for researchers and departmental research representatives on national calls for research funding;
• support to instrumental bodies established or participated in by Sapienza for the management of research projects of national importance.
