International Student Welcome Week

Five days all for international students participating in major exchange programmes. A packed schedule of welcome events

From September 14 to 20, 2023 more than 2,000 international students will be taking part in our International Student Welcome Week.

Studying at Europe's largest university, learning a new language, living in a big city and meeting other students from all over the world: these are the main goals of our international mobility programmes that have been involving, for years now, thousands of students who have chosen Sapienza for their studies.

Our University has always fully supported international student mobility, taking part in exchange programmes, promoting inter-university agreements with EU and non-EU countries and participating in international cooperation and training programmes.

Every year Sapienza welcomes students from all over the world, participating in international programmes and initiatives, as part of policies that have allowed us to become more competitive and attractive, confirming Sapienza as an Italian reference point for the major international ranking agencies.

The event will be dedicated to welcome and orientation activities for international students participating in the Erasmus+, International Credit Mobility, EMJM, Bilateral Agreements and Double Degree programmes.

Our young students will be involved in several activities. The Aula Magna will be hosting the opening ceremony on Thursday, and Friday will be dedicated to sports activities at Sapienza Sports Centre. On Monday, information sessions about Sapienza and its services and associations will be held at a special fair and the Welcome Sessions for each Faculty will be held on Tuesday.

During the week there will also be initiatives by the Erasmus Student Network Roma-Ase Association and cultural tours by the Veni Vidi Visit Association.
