On Thursday, May 23, at the space in front of the Marco Polo building a maple tree will be planted in memory of the judges Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino and all the innocent victims of the mafias. 

A commemorative plaque will be placed at the base of the tree. The initiative takes place in coincidence with the third anniversary of the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the National Council of University Students, the Conference of Italian University Rectors and the Falcone Foundation , on the subject of mafia crime and its effects on society. Sapienza joined the protocol along with 16 other universities.

The event is promoted by the representatives of the students of the University, long engaged against all forms of organized crime.
