Among other things, the Unit is in charge of the following activities:

• management and coordination of security services provided both through outsourcing (contracts for armed and unarmed security guards) and via staff attached to the Main Campus Security Unit and the Rectorate’s Technical and Operational Unit;
• physical security management (infrastructure protection, physical security systems, intrusion detection, CCTV systems, access control), protection of sensitive information, personal safety;
• drafting and implementation of policies and regulations relating to video surveillance, in compliance with official egal requirements;
• defining technical standards relating to the selection, use and maintenance of physical security technologies; providing support during the design phase regarding the implementation of security systems and services on university campuses.
