1. Benefit and conditions
The ‘Government Scholarship’ benefit provides for a flat-rate annual enrolment fee of just €30, plus the regional tax (€140) and stamp duty (€16).
This benefit is granted if you are not eligible for more favourable reductions (Articles 44, 56 and 57).
To be eligible for this benefit, you must be the recipient of a government scholarship:
- intended for enrolment in university degree programmes;
- in Italy, awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or from abroad;
- lasting at least nine months (individual exams and semesters are excluded).
You cannot take advantage of this benefit if:
- you are participating in the Erasmus Mundus exchange programme for a period of ten months or more;
- you are enrolled in a distance learning degree programme provided under an agreement with the “Consorzio Nettuno”;
- you are enrolled in a distance learning degree programme provided under an agreement with the University of Rome Unitelma Sapienza.
2. Procedures

3. Deadlines
If you enrol in years after the first, the deadline for applying for the benefit is 6 November 2025.
If you enrol in the first year, the deadline is the same as that specified in the call for applications/notice for the payment of the first instalment of the programme enrolment fees.
