Our university offers more than 300 Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes, many of which are taught in English, around 90 doctoral programmes, and a wide range of opportunities for student exchange and professional training.
International Admissions
Sapienza offers high-quality educational and research opportunities. It is among the top Italian universities according to international rankings, with excellent performance at the global level as well. All of this takes place in one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Rome.

Erasmus+ Programme
Thanks to our participation in the Erasmus+ programme, international projects and agreements with prestigious universities abroad, you have the opportunity to spend a period of study or an internship at Sapienza as an exchange student. Sapienza is part of CIVIS, the European university alliance comprising 11 partners, which offers exchange opportunities with flexible programmes throughout the year.
Double, Multiple and Joint Degrees
Sapienza offers degree programmes leading to double, multiple and joint degrees with universities in Europe and beyond. These programmes include mobility periods with recognition of academic credits.
OVERSEAS Programme for student mobility (non-EU)
Thanks to bilateral agreements, students from NON-EU countries can participate for free in a mobility exchange period at Sapienza (from a minimum of 90 days to a maximum of 2 consecutive semesters) without paying tuition fees.
Mobility CONFAP Italy II
The Mobility Confap Italy (MCI II) is the second edition of an international cooperation programme between CONFAP (Conselho Nacional das Fundações Estaduais de Amparo à Pesquisa) and a Network of Italian Universities that aims at facilitating and supporting effective collaborations between Italy and Brazil through the mobility of PhD students, Master students (Mestrado students) and post docs to Italy.
Refugee students
The UNICORE project - University Corridors for Refugees project, promoted by UNHCR, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, was created to give refugee students in African territories the opportunity to continue their academic career at Italian universities.Sapienza is participating in the project with a special call for applications.
Summer Schools
Sapienza organises summer or winter schools open to the international student community.
