La Sapienza prohibits smoking in the University
The area in which smoking is prohibited extends to all areas of the university facilities, including transit areas and those used as toilets.
The ban applies to employees, users and anyone who frequents, in any capacity, the University premises.

At Sapienza store, the portable ashtray is back!
To limit the damage caused by cigarette butts being left in the environment, Sapienza has created a portable ashtray. The portable ashtray only costs 1 euro and is now available again at the university store. Please visit the Sapienza Store website to know the shop's opening hours. Please note: as per Law 221 - 2016 on environmental regulations, people who drop cigarette butts on the ground, as well as other particularly frequent and polluting small waste (receipts, paper tissues and very damaging chewing gum), will be fined.
