Webinar "European Innovation Council - EIC: Funding Opportunities for Innovative Research" (March 4)

On March 4, 2021, Sapienza's Grant Office will be holding the European Innovation Council (EIC) presentation webinar

The webinar "European Innovation Council - EIC: Funding Opportunities for Innovative Research", organised by our Grant Office intends to provide an overview of funding opportunities for research and innovation promoted within the EIC, with a particular focus on the upcoming calls on the Pathfinder funding scheme.

EIC is the main instrument to support innovation promoted by the European Commission within Horizon Europe, the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation for 2021-2027. In particular, the EIC is the most relevant initiative within 'Pillar II - Innovative Europe' and aims to identify, develop and implement high-risk innovations of various kinds, focusing on pioneering, high-impact, breakthrough and potentially market-creating innovations.

The webinar will also feature lecturers who are either in charge of FET OPEN projects or have been evaluators for this funding scheme, of which EIC Pathfinder is the continuation.

From March 8 to 12, 2021, the follow-up meetings "Settimana di incontri di approfondimento EIC Pathfinder" will also take place.  Professors and researchers potentially interested in submitting an EIC proposal will be able, upon appointment, to meet online with the Grant Office's officials to receive more information on the call and to discuss specific issues and aspects, including those raised during the webinar or following the first reading of the call.
