Digital Opportunity Traineeships

The European Commission has recently launched the Digital Opportunity Traineeships Initiative, an action aimed at increasing digital competences, addressing high unemployment levels and helping to create new talents for a better future for Europe’s youth.

The Digital Opportunity Traineeships Initiative provides students at all faculties with the opportunity to acquire digital skills by working in participating enterprises. The initiative, which is financed as part of Horizon 2020 and implemented through the Erasmus+ Programme, will organised traineeships abroad for over 6000 students over 2018-20.

There currently are nearly 120 traineeship opportunities available on the Drop’pin@EURES and ErasmusIntern Platforms in a range of fields, including digital marketing, application and software development, data analytics, web development, etc. New opportunities are added every day.

Thanks to this initiative, trainees will not only be able to increase their digital skills more rapidly, but also have greater possibilities of finding a job, as these competences are always in demand and not only in the ICT Sector. Moreover, students will be able to improve their language skills as the traineeships are held abroad.

All trainees will receive a €500/month stipend that may be integrated by the enterprise.
