Erasmus+ Traineeship - FAQs
I am a student with disabilities. Am I entitled to extra contributions?
Yes, if you are a person with disabilities/special needs, you can ask for information about possible additional EU contributions by mailing the Erasmus Unit at erasmustirocini@uniroma1.it. It is essential to mention this in your application in the specific section.
Can I change my departure date?
Yes it is possible, however if the change is longer than 15 days, the company must email to the EU Erasmus Mobility Unit (erasmustirocini@uniroma1.it) confirming the new mobility start date.
Can I do my traineeship partly before and partly after graduation?
It is not possible to interrupt your traineeship for the dissertation and then continue it. The traineeship must be completed either entirely before graduation or entirely after graduation.
Can I apply for an extension of my scholarship?
Yes, you can apply for an extension of your scholarship even after it has been awarded. However, the financial contribution will only be paid based on days actually used, if there are residual funds available. In any case, the traineeship may not end after July 31, 2024.
Can I benefit from mobility even if I have no credits available?
Yes, if you use the mobility as a student WITHOUT any credits available in the study plan or as a recent graduate. In this case, the traineeship will be voluntary, i.e. no credits will be recognised.
Can I carry out part of the mobility remotely?
No, only activities carried out in person (physical mobility) will be funded, for which the minimum duration established in the Erasmus+ Traineeship call for applications 2023/2024 and in the Programme Guide (2 months or 60 days) must be respected. Therefore, no funding will be provided for periods of distance learning carried out from Italy or the country of origin.
I would like to apply for the "green" travel grant, what should I do?
Who is entitled to receive the supplementary contribution?
The contributo INTEGRATIVO PER CONDIZIONI ECONOMICHE SVANTAGGIATE (minor opportunities), where applicable, paid on the basis of the ISEEU (Indicator of the Equivalent Economic Situation for University). The value will be acquired through the Infostud platform and will amount to 250.00 euros per month and 1/30 of the monthly amount for each additional day (each month is conventionally 30 days) and a financial contribution for any standard or green travel contribution according to the table below (the distance can be calculated using the Erasmus+ Distance Calculator).
If I am a mobility grantee, in which period can I do the traineeship?
Mobility is expected to start on 1 September 2023 and can be implemented by 31 July 2024.
Can I complete the traineeship in two or more different companies?
No, you must carry out the entire duration of the traineeship at the same location.
Can I change my host organisation after the deadline?
No, it is not possible to change the host organisation after the deadline.

Are credits (CFUs) awarded?
Yes, if you take advantage of the mobility programme with the "student" status and with the availability of "curricular" CFUs or CFUs "utili per l'inserimento nel mondo del lavoro" (useful for integration into the world of work) in your study plan (to be checked with your Educational Affairs Office). In the Learning Agreement for Traineeship (LAT), you will have to indicate that the traineeship will be curricular with the relative number of CFUs to be obtained.
