Minimum Knowledge Realignment

Minimum knowledge is the basic knowledge you need to have in order to succeed on your chosen course.

Restricted-access degree programmes require students to pass entrance tests before they can be enrolled. Other courses, although not subject to numerical restrictions, require students to pass a test to establish their initial skills, i.e. their minimum knowledge. Failure to pass these tests results in Further Required Courses (Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi - OFA), which must be completed in the first year of enrolment.

To find out how to comply with OFAs, please visit this page.

In order to increase the number of students enrolled in the first year without OFA Sapienza offers all students and potential students Of@Sapienza (in Italian), an e-learning channel where tools are available for autonomous training in the assimilation of the minimum knowledge required for the degree courses, in particular in mathematics for scientific subjects, Italian for humanistic subjects and mathematics for engineering.

Courses for the realignment of minimum knowledge are usually online courses with quizzes.

Recipients: Students pre-registered on Infostud

Workload: One-hour quizzes with teaching materials available to the student; recorded lectures

Enrolment is free and you just need to register on the Sapienza E-learning platform with your institutional email address @uniroma1.it

In addition, the idea.uniroma1.it platform is being launched, a non-formal education portal where popular university lectures will be available with the aim of bringing potential students closer to the minimum knowledge and interests required for an informed and motivated university career.

Also, the “Network Orientation" project is currently being updated, where useful tools for preparing for the entrance tests for medical degree programmes will be available.
