Quality of research
In recent years, research assessment has become increasingly important for universities. This assessment encompasses both the quality of research products and the ability of the academic world to generate economic and social benefits in its local area
Assessment and recognition of scientific quality:
Sapienza oversees processes for assessing the scientific quality of research, coordinating departmental and institutional activities to promote excellence.
- Research Quality Assessment (VQR) 2020–2024: Sapienza actively participates in the VQR by coordinating the presentation and assessment of lecturers' and researchers' scientific output.
- Departments of Excellence 2023–2027: Sapienza promotes participation in prestigious national initiatives, such as the “Departments of Excellence”, with the aim of enhancing and supporting its best facilities.
To ensure that these standards are met, Sapienza supports lecturers and researchers in fulfilling their research assessment obligations.
