Student Rights
Students are full members of the university community. The university works at all levels to promote their right to education, their physical and intellectual development, to favour their insertion into society and facilitate their academic career.
Student Charter of Rights
Student rights and duties are regulated by the Student Charter of Rights, drafted by a commission that includes students, approved by the Academic Senate.

University Ombudsperson
Article 6 of Sapienza’s Statute provides for the establishment of a Student Ombudsperson at the University level and in each Faculty, with the power and duty to intervene, also on the basis of reasoned petitions submitted by students, to report dysfunctions and limitations of their rights.
The figure of the Ombudsperson is also described in Article 18 of the Student Charter of Rights and Duties, where it is expressly stated that the ombudsperson shall protect the confidentiality of those who make reports. The Ombudsperson is also mentioned in the Student Regulations, which are updated annually.
The University Ombudsperson periodically convenes the Faculty Ombudspersons and has the authority to consult the student representatives in the governing bodies and the heads of the structures, if appropriate; they report every six months to the Rector and the Academic Senate
The University Ombudsperson is Prof. Giuseppe Familiari.
