Abstract
The ambition of TRANS-lighthouses is to become a European reference for supporting Nature-Based Solutions projects. The socio-political dimension must be part of the NBS public agenda to bring together a systemic change. This is achieved in the Horizon project by evaluating the results obtained so far, i.e. the benefits and limitations of already implemented and realised NBS co-creation processes. To this end, the project will conduct an in-depth evaluation, based on transdisciplinary approaches and critical analyses. The Horizon project will also implement pilot cases from the evaluation of best practices. TRANS-lighthouses is a well-coordinated network of citizens, local governments, scientific institutions and civil society partners acting across borders, disciplines and sectors for urban, rural, coastal and forest areas in 10 EU and 6 non-EU countries.
Sapienza's specific contribution will be the implementation of a pilot project in the municipal and Sapienza area of Via Scarpa, through an action capable of redesigning the public space in a more sustainable way to encourage an active and outdoor life for the academic community and the students of the surrounding schools. The integration of sports and leisure facilities, study and rest areas is envisaged. This is a participatory and co-creative project.
The Sapienza team comprises the following lecturers: Anna Irene Del Monaco, Benedetta Di Donato, Federica Morgia, Fabrizio Toppetti.
