Fees for students with foreign citizenship and/or foreign income
Students with foreign citizenship can pay enrolment fees in the following ways:
- according to the fixed fee provided for developing countries or non-developing countries (see list below). In this case it will be sufficient to print the slip from Infostud without performing any further functions and the amount shown will be automatically determined according to the country of the declared citizenship
- according to your “Isee per il diritto allo studio universitario” (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator). This option is possible if the income and assets are produced in Italy. In this case, the Isee must be calculated at a Caf (tax assistance centre) or filled in on the Inps website and can be acquired exclusively on Infostud from the Profile>Isee section (it is not possible to acquire the Isee at the time of printing the payment slip). Those who do not have the Isee available at the time of printing the slip must always click on Acquire Isee to pay a fixed fee. By December 21, 2020, the Isee must be declared, otherwise, the amount of the contributions will be applied to the maximum value established.
- As per Bill 159/2013, Art. 8, international students may also request an “Isee Parificato” Declaration from a CAF by presenting the required documentation that has previously been certified by the competent authorities in the country where the income was earned. The documentation must be translated into Italian by the Italian embassy or consulate in the country where the income was earned. The declaration must include the number of family members, income and all other sources of revenue for the given year. The CAF declaration must be then submitted to the programme administrative office at Sapienza for tuition fee calculation.
Regional taxes and tax stamps must be added to the totals and included in the first instalment.
International students (EU and Non-EU) are included in the following categories:
- University student with foreign citizenship not residing in Italy;
