Research Support Area
The Area takes care of activities related to Ateneo funding for Research (Ateneo Research, Medium and Large Facilities, Large Excavations, Conferences, Seminars and Workshops), supporting faculty, researchers, postdoctoral fellows and PhD students, and Commissions.
Provides support to Sapienza facilities for participation in European or international calls for tenders and international research programs for collaborative projects, especially Horizon Europe.
Promotes and manages international partnerships aimed at implementing development cooperation projects on funding from public and private, national and international institutions and offers technical assistance.
Takes care of activities related to the participation, management and reporting of research and development projects under PNRR and PNC Health.
Supports the University in skills mapping and scouting of Sectors and project ideas and identification and matchmaking with calls of strategic interest.
Supports departmental contact persons, the relevant Areas of the administration and the relevant Committees and Commissions, in national (VQR, SUA RD) and local research quality assessment procedures.
Coordinates and manages the University Research Infrastructure, the Sapienza Research Registry and the University Catalog of Research Products IRIS.
Provides technical support to the activities of the Transdisciplinary Research Ethics Committee (Cert).
Coordinates and carries out the actions provided by the University and the MUR in favor of researchers of excellence.
It manages funding for visiting professors and support for hosting procedures.
The Research Support Area (ASUR) supports Sapienza's scientific research activity and consists of 2 Offices, which include 8 Sectors within them:
