Disability and specific learning difficulties
Open day for Sapienza Students with disabilities and SLDs
On September 10 and 11, 2024, the Office for Students with disabilities and SLDs will be on hand with internal staff, specialised tutors and psychologists from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to support students in their choice of study pathway and show Sapienza's active services aimed at students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties.
The service for students with disabilities will be offering information on services, teaching aids, financial support and logistical support for full inclusion in the university environment.
The service for students with SLDs will illustrate the activities and services that promote the best possible attendance, study and assessment conditions for students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLDs) and their full inclusion in university life.
One-to-one counselling

Please note: Applicants with disabilities or Specific Learning Difficulties residing abroad who wish to make use of special aids or additional time must submit the certificate attesting their disability or Specific Learning Difficulty issued in their country of residence, together with a certified translation in Italian or English.

Awards for theses on disability and SLDs
Each year, Sapienza awards prizes for Bachelor's, Master's, Specialisation and Doctoral theses on the subject of disability. The winning dissertations must have dealt with the subject in the form of experimental research and/or the development of solutions to improve the living conditions of people with disabilities. The prize aims to promote academic research on the social and cultural integration of people with disabilities.
Call: 5 prizes for dissertations on the theme of disability or specific learning difficulties presented during the 2022-2023 academic year (deadline: 30 September 2024). Call (in Italian)
Call: 1 prize for doctoral theses or specialisation theses on the topic of disability or specific learning difficulties presented during the 2023 calendar year. (Deadline: 30 September 2024). Call (in Italian)
