Sapienza creates targeted inclusion policies and organises specific services to remove those obstacles that limit the full expression of each person's potential within the university context

Call for applications for communication assistance grants published (academic year 2025/2026) 

Call for applications for communication assistance grants.
The call is open to students enrolled at Sapienza University of Rome with verbal language or communication impairments, with the aim of covering the costs of services such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and W.O.C.E. (Written Output Communication Enhancement) for integration into academic activities.
The maximum grant amount is €10,000 per year for each recipient. The deadline for submitting applications is Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Collaboration grants for tutoring students with disabilities and SLDs

The call for applications for 120 part-time collaboration grants is now online. These contracts are for providing support to students with disabilities and students with SLDs (Specific Learning Difficulties) for the academic year 2025-2026.

Awards for theses on disability and SLDs

Every year, Sapienza offers prizes for Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral theses on disability. To be eligible for an award, papers must address the topic through experimental research and/or the development of solutions to improve the living conditions of people with disabilities. The award aims to promote academic research into the social and cultural integration of disabled people.
