Sapienza carries out numerous activities to promote research and technology transfer to companies through the management and protection of intellectual property, and support for entrepreneurship, including acceleration and incubation activities, contracts for commissioned research and the activation of industrial PhDs.

Sapienza facilitates and promotes collaborations with public and private entities in the field of research and technological innovation, making its know-how and experience available to the business world through the sharing of research infrastructures and collaborative laboratories for innovation and co-working (Saperi&Co, Open Labs linked to the CIVIS network), the participation in the Centro di Eccellenza del Distretto Tecnologico Beni e Attività Culturali - DTC Lazio, and the development of publishing services, including Open Access, with the Sapienza Publishing House.
